+====== Your Studies, from the preparatory course to the first exam ======
+The following attempts to be a guide for your first semester and answer questions some of which you might not even know you had.

+===== Internship =====
+An internship needs to be completed before starting the bachelor thesis.\\
+It is advisable to complete your internship before you start your studies since there will be no allocated time for this during your time at the TUHH.\\
+Though not to worry, a lot of students have completed their internship during their studies and it won’t be a problem if you do as well.\\ \\
+**Elektrotechnik & Informatik-Ingenieurwesen** \\
+Duration: 10 weeks (splitable, see the [[https://www.tuhh.de/t3resources/mst/Download/Praktikantenamt/Praktikumsordnung_ET_IIW_2018.pdf|Praktikumsordnung]]) \\
+ET und IIW is supervised by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Manfred Kasper.\\

+**Technomathematik** \\
+Students of Technomathematik do not need an internship!\\
+**Computer Science** \\

+There is no central supervisor for Computer Science instead the Professors supervise and accept your internship. \\ \\

+===== “Orientierungseinheit” (Orientation Unit) =====
+The first week of your first semester is the so called Orientierungseinheit (OE). During the OE we host a bunch of different events. Further information can be found [[en:orientierungseinheit|here]].\\
+During the OE-week StartING will begin. We highly recommend you participate as it will supply you with a lot of information that will help you during your studies.

+There are two tools at your disposal. For one there is [[https://tune.tuhh.de/qisserver/pages/cs/sys/portal/hisinoneStartPage.faces|Tune]].\\
+Then there is [[https://e-learning.tu-harburg.de/studip/|StudIP]].
+For both of them you need a "Rechenzentrumsaccount". You will receive your login together with your Immatrikulation.\\
+In StudIP the information comes from the institutes and might be erroneous and incomplete. A lot of Documents for the modules are uploaded here.\\
+If you have problems with Tune, don't worry, it's the same for everyone :( In case of emergency, feel free to contact us.

+===== Prüfungsanmeldungen =====
+There are exams that you will subscribe automatically. You can not unsubscribe from those automatically. These exams are the following:\\ \\
+**Elektrotechnik:**
+  * Mathematik I
+**Informatik-Ingenieurwesen:**
+  * Mathematik I
+**Computer Science:**
+  * Linear Algebra
+**Technomathematik**
+  * Technomathematik does not have these.

+**You need to subscribe to all other exams manually!**

Here you can find deadlines for exams as well as the information on what exams you are suscribed to. Here you can unsubscribe as well.\\
+Be aware that subscription has deadlines. You will receive Emails with further details once the time is close. Keep in mind (though try not to abuse this too hard) that you can unsubscribe from exams up to two weekdays before the exam.\\
