This year there will again be a Freshmen Week (FW) for all freshmen. The FW is a period of one week directly at the beginning of your studies in which you get to know the university and your fellow students. We, your student representatives, will organize the FW for you.

This year we created a signal group for you. There you can socialize with the fellow freshmen before the FW starts and we will keep you up to date about the upcoming events. You are welcome to join.

The (highly recommended) preparatory course starts on 04th October at 09 o'clock. Locations can be found following the link. The course will take place until the FW starts.

There will be no lectures for you in the FW. It is filled with events of all kinds. Among other things, there will be a puzzlehunt (“Rallye”) through Harburg, a campus tour and an Open Air nerdBar so that you can get to know the university, the city district and your fellow students. All of our events will take place on the TUHH campus in Hamburg-Harburg. You can reach the campus best via S-Bahn train stations Heimfeld or Harburg Rathaus. We also have the Campus map in case you want to explore the TUHH beforehand.

On October 24th, real life begins: Your regular lectures begin (exercises usually don't start until a week later).

*: The “first aid meeting” is an appointment where we will answer your first questions about studying, university or anything else in a video chat.

The LuK (Learning and Communication Centre) can be found by entering building A through the main entrance (towards the street) and walking along the corridor on the left on the ground floor. It is also signposted as “Studentisches Lernen”. Our events take place in the lounge or the multi-purpose room by the stairs to the lounge.
Room D2.022 is located in building D on the intermediate floor “Z3”.

13.10.2022, 16:00 o'clock, Friedrich-Ebert Halle
This is the official welcoming ceremony of the TU Hamburg. You will be informed about that via email from the university.

13.10., after the Inauguration Ceremony, Audimax 2

After picking you up at the Friedrich-Ebert-Halle, we, the student representatives, will walk you to the Audimax 2 to welcome you. After that there will be Chili and beverages.

14.10., starting 18:00, LuK (building A)

We invite everyone of our students associated to ET/IT to spend the evening together. There will be snacks and beverages, be sure to bring some cash for that. Please be advised that the public transport is only usable until a certain time, after that hour you can only take a night bus.

17.10.2022, 8:30 o'clock, Audimax 1

Dr. Seifert will welcome you to join the First Lecture at the TU Hamburg. You should definitely come, because important foundations of an engineering degree will be taught, so listen up and take notes!

17.10.2022, 10:00 o'clock, at the pond on south campus

At our olympiad you can compete in teams of four against each other in a series of small games to achieve fame and fortune.

17.10.2022, 14:00 o'clock, Audimax 2

In our first-aid info session we are there for you to answer your most important questions all about your start of studies and supply you with useful information. Bring your questions and don't be shy to ask us!

17.10., right after the First-Aid Meeting, in front of building E (outside, entrance II)

Here, we send you on your way in teams to answer tricky questions about Harburg and visit our stops to collect points! Your team competes against the other teams and there will be a prize for the best team. You won't leave Harburg on your route and we will supply the drinks. Be sure to bring weatherproof clothing and maybe an umbrella because you will have to walk a lot. The award ceremony will take place on thursday right before the Pub Quiz, where we will announce the winning team and hand out the prizes.

In order to get to know it, we will give you a tour of our campus.

18.10.2022, 17:00 Uhr, vor Gebäude E
Am Dienstag Abend machen wir uns mit unserem Bollerwagen auf den langen Weg zur Reeperbahn, wo im Anschluss voraussichtlich die Ersti Party stattfinden wird. Ein absolutes Highlight in jedem Jahr!

19.10.2022, 14:00 Uhr, Mehrzweckraum beim LuK (bei Regen) oder Schwarzenberg Park
ACHTUNG: Bitte ein Handtuch mitbringen! BierYoga ist die Kombination aus einer Yogastunde mit zwei (oder mehr) Flaschen Bier. Sowohl mit Yoga als auch mit Bier, lassen Menschen seit Jahrhunderten die Seele baumeln und entspannen Körper und Geist. Auch wer noch nie was mit Yoga zu tun hatte, ist herzlich eingeladen. Kann ich nicht, gibt es nicht.

19.10., 18:00, hinter Gebäude A & AStA Cafe
Unsere klassische Bar, die wir für euch diesmal draußen abhalten, also zieht euch warm an. Wir verkaufen bei unserer Bar kein richtiges Essen, bereitet euch also darauf vor, entweder vorher was zu essen, etwas mitzunehmen oder bei einem Imbiss eurer Wahl etwas zu kaufen in der Umgebung der Uni (Tipps gibts bei jedem FSR Mitglied). Im Pub Quiz werdet ihr in 5er Gruppen mehrere Fragen aus verschiedenen Kategorien beantworten müssen. Die gruppe, die am Ende des Quiz die meisten Fragen richtig beantwortet hat, gewinnt! Kleines Special: Es werden vermutlich ein paar Professorinnen und Professoren dabei sein, die ihr im Verlauf eures Studiums sicherlich haben werdet!

Die OE-Fahrt ist freiwillig und findet am Ende der OE-Woche statt. Die Fahrt geht von Fr. 21.10.22 bis So. 23.10.22. Wir sind Sonntag gegen 16:00 Uhr wieder an der TUHH. Dank finanzieller Unterstützung durch die Uni und den Verein der Alumni und Förderer der TUHH, kostet euch das Wochenende nur TBA€ all inclusive. Zusätzlich gibt es für alle, die sich schnell genug anmelden, noch ein offizielles Fachschafts-Shirt. Die Fahrt ist sehr beliebt und meist schnell ausgebucht!
